The British listed Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) is looking to bring boutique hotel brand Hotel Indigo to Dublin following the acquisition of the Four Seasons Hotel in Ballsbridge, which will become Intercontinental Dublin on 1 January. The John Malone Partnership (JMP), consisting of John Malone, Paul Higgins and Lalco, has agreed to acquire the London regional property for an undisclosed sum. J MP already owns the four hotels in London, the East End and the West End of London. Almost all of these hotels are located in the city centre, with the exception of St James's Hotel in the south and east of Dublin.

Later that night, when I opened the double windows of my room, I only saw the stars as I curled up on the bed and watched the twinkling of the city lights. I had a bed and a bathroom, a kitchen and a full service bar, but the door to the small terrace was walled up so there was nowhere to sit.
The bar looked very nice and would have been a nice place to sit in the evening with piano music. Being something of a Celtic tiger baby, I ate at the hotel and enjoyed the cocktail menu several times over the years.
