Eckhart Tolle's The Power of Now
ÃÂ"If we connect with the stillness within, we move beyond our active minds & emotions and discover great depths of lasting peace, contentment & serenityÃÂ" Eckhart Tolle. An exploration & experience of The Power of Now, the bestselling book by Eckhart Tolle & a wonderful guide to spiritual enlightenment. Authentic human power is found by surrendering to the Now ÃÂ- it is here we find our joy, are able to embrace our true selves and discover that we are already complete & perfect. Includes powerful, effective practices for inner peace & change; guided meditations; group discussions and, of course, silence. All sowing the seeds for radical internal transformation & harmony. About the speaker: John Doherty BA, MSc, MMin, has been teaching in primary, secondary, third level and facilitating groups for the last twenty years. He has trained in various skills, using movement, meditation and creative expression as a means to facilitate courses in personal and spiritual enrichment. His particular focus lies in the interface between psychology and spirituality and what it means to live a contemplative life in the modern world. Currently, he facilitates a variety of courses around Dublin, for example, ÃÂ'The Art of StillnessÃÂ', in All HallowÃÂ's College as well as running the Beehive school for contemplative living and teaching weekends on ÃÂ'The Power of NowÃÂ'. He has been involved in a number of projects, working with the HorizonÃÂ's renewal program for the presentation order, supporting staff in the hospice in HaroldÃÂ's cross as well as offering training in group facilitation and leadership skills. John also works as a qualified supervisor (click here for more) focusing on supporting carers, practioners and teachers in their work with others. Front-line Support is an important and often neglected area that is essential to avoid burnout and continue professional development. With this in mind John has recently helped found the Supervisory Association of Ireland with developing links to the rest of Europe in order to support and promote these ideals. He provides group and one to one support for professionals working in caring type professions helping them unpack and reflect on their work. For more details about John visit: www.thebeehive.ie
